The Idas Blue or Northern Blue[1] (Plebejus idas) is a butterfly of the Lycaenidae family. It is found in the northerern regions of the Palearctic ecozone and the Nearctic ecozone.[2]
Flies from June to August depending on location.
Wingspan: 17 to 28 mm.[1]
The larvae feed on Calluna and Fabaceae species.
